ChokeHoldBear's blog

I've not updated this blog in over a year and in that time I've been slogging away at the gym. Lifting heavy stuff up, holding and then putting back down over and over. I've found a new gym, a trainer and got a new training plan and diet which is helping my muscle mass increase and reducing my fatness 🐻.

I am aiming to lift at least four days a week and hitting five days regularly, which I love and I'm feeling the results of that. Lol.

I know a few of you will be like 'who cares' or 'so what' but those of you don't get how much the gym has changed my life, given me confidence and helped me look better. I mean I'm middle aged and have 18inch biceps 💪 (I'm not modest about that).

I've returned to my blog after receiving a message from a guy who had read my old posts. He said he's found reading them helped and inspired him as it matched his challenge in gaining muscle at a later stage in life - all I can say is thanks man, that means a lot to me. This was the purpose of my blog when I was regularly writing them.

So I may now do some regular updates on the progress I make with my trainer. For those interested, keep an eye out.

I've put some progress pics up. For those interested I'm currently 115kgs, have a 48in chest, 18in biceps and 27in thighs.

I've not updated in a while and wanted to explain why. We've had a second English lock down with gyms closed. This has frustrated me but I understand the need to control the virus in society. Now gyms are reopen I've made a clear plan to lose some weight and muscle up. I've got too beefy and now is the time to up my cardio work, along with continuing to lift heavy things. I'd be interested to know what other mens views are on this, or if anyone has advice to share.
