My friend and fellow video wrestler remembered

Back in the 90's I met Robert in Los Angeles who wrestled for BG East under Chip Slater. Robert was not only handsome but he was a very tough and strong submission wrestler. What is also amazing about to Robert is that he was the first child to be adopted by a gay couple. Here is an article about him, sadly he passed at 40 years old. I still miss my handsome wrestling buddy.

He was one of my all time BG favorites. What a life story he had. Wish I could have had an opportunity to square off against him. RIP

So sorry to hear this, but thank you so much for sharing this.
I remember him doing a post a number of years ago (I think was on vangar/global flight) and mentioned that he was, indeed, Chip Slater.

that's too bad. i loved his fights for BGE. i found out later he fought a training partner of mine at the time, so i almost got a crack at him. he was rough and aggressive on the mats, nice to know he was a good guy off them.
