Only four months remaining

The corona crisis has caused a lot of unhealthy changes in my life as it struck just a few months after I had had a surgery of my right knee in October 2019 to solve my longtime knock-knee problem and had finished the mandatory rehabilitation from the hospital and was transferred to my well-known gym for further recovery, a recovery which then was forced to a stop because of the corona pandemic.

Only a few months last summer I was able to return to my gym, and I was also able to fly to Frankfurt in July for a single wrestling match, my only wrestling match since February 2020 when I was able to wrestle an American coming to Copenhagen for a conference, but luckily he also had the time to wrestle me.

Since then nothing major has happened, except for that I finally had the second surgery this March and now am about to work my way through the mandatory rehabilitation from the hospital - and in principle this goes very well forward, as I appear to proceed faster than I did after the previous surgery. However, the downside is that I also clearly can feel the loss of muscle tissue because of the very limited physical activity I've done during the recent eighteen months. Therefore I am still not able to work on my scissors yet, but hopefully this will come soon so they can return to their previous strength.

Thus my original idea about having this second surgery this spring while waiting for the corona pandemic to ease off seems still to work as planned. With a bit of luck I should be able to finish the mandatory rehabilitation from the hospital coming July, and according to our official vaccination plans I also should have had my vaccine by then. So my idea that both important timelines would finish at the same time still seems to work.

One more important timeline also fit in with this pattern, because in July it will be four months since I had the second surgery - and I also had my first wrestling match after my first surgery four months later, so I actually should be able to meet for wrestling again at the same time as I will have finished the mandatory rehabilitation from the hospital and I should have the vaccine which can enable me to travel for wrestling. And still have about forty guys all over Europe which would like to wrestle me. Plus a handful on the east coast of the United States.

I surely will have to be lenient when I return to wrestling as I surely will need to build up my muscles again - but I know that wrestling is the best workout for wrestling, it may be submission wrestling or just play wrestling for a start. But I certainly am looking forward to get sweaty on the mat again coming August and the following months!
