It stops abusive use through people creating profiles for 'flag & run' purposes. If someone posts seriously inflammatory material, for example racist material, that is against the site terms & conditions so you can contact the administration directly. This way newbies or those who have profiles but haven't matched are protected, but can't comment on others involvement when they aren't involved themselves.
You're more likely to get positive responses if you query site issues politely, rather than airing a judgement without thinking first.
Also, you've posted this issue in the wrong area. Classifieds are where you can advertise small items for sale. Querying site issues belongs on the relevant page, not this one.
