All older vintage style gloves will do essentially the same over time with the padding. Today the modern style gloves are produced more so with a foam injected padding, and some with layers of gel and foam combination will not shift like the older style gloves. Personally I like the feel of the older style over the newer format, but safety is the primary reason for the change.
I have been told that those Reyes gloves have the padding packed into them such that most of the 8 or 10 ounces that make up the glove are distributed more towards the wrist/hand area rather than the striking area where the boxer's fist is therefore making them more damaging to the boxer being punched. Have others heard or experienced that? I have never worn that brand.
That's why they are referred to as "Punchers Gloves"! I own 8 oz Hybrid

You can find both brands for sale on Ebay. The Casanovas' are expensive.
