My take is that a Male Catfight consists of what is commonly thought of as Female Catfighting. Wild, out of control, savage, with lots of hair pulling, scratching, punching, goes to the ground almost immediately - lotta wrestling. Lotta verbal. Pretty much anything goes. Rip and strip. Whatever. Usually non-stop action until there's a winner. Fight space is unrestricted, limitless. The action goes wherever the fuck it goes. All over a parking lot, a bar, a street, a city, an entire country, etc.
I'm thinkin a Male Dogfight is a standard bare knuckle slug fest. Ideally with bales of hay instead of ring ropes confining the fight space. Mainly standing fight throwing punches. When a man gets knocked down he has at least some time to get back up and then the punching starts up again. Fight ends when a man goes down and he's either out, can't get back up, or concedes. Hey, there can be Female Dogfights.
That's my 2 cents on the topic. BTW, I'm up for being in either a dog or a cat fight. With a male.
