What first got you interested in mixed wrestling

I had a female sitter that was just 5 yrs older than i was. She used to love to watch maple leaf wrestling from Montreal when no one else was around. During commercials she would attack me, taking me down and then rubbing her feet in my face, calling me a jobber. This continued on the occassional Saturday even after i outgrew the need for a babysitter. She wound up taking my virginity while Ivan Koloff was doing a squash job on some jobber on tv, and i was hooked on wrestling (any gender) and feet from that point on.

Definitely left an impression on me. As a result of her "defeating" me, I remember trying to hide hardons from friends when mapleleaf or tbs superstation wrestling would come on.

I've said this else should before but I was first turned on by a spread of photos in the old News of the World when it was a broadsheet. First wrestle against a female was Sonia Fernandes and some of her stablemates like Maggie.
Had a soft wrestle against Pippa as she had a back she suffered at a bout in Cyprus.

reading about in a magazine then subscribing to some mixed wrestling magazine by swish publications. That started to my story writing and to meeting Sonia Fernades who was the fist female wrestler I wrestled with

Oh I never knew there were magazines for it specifically. Sonia seems a popular lady to start your mixed match debut with.

Didn't she have a saying in some foreign language that translated as 'thighs of steel'?

When a teen I saw Forum mag with the headline women's boxing and wrestling with catfight stories too. More illustrations than pics though.
Then along called "Aggressive Women", published by Swish I think. They changed the title to Amazons in Action to make it more "socially acceptable". That was in the early 80s when I was at a college. I
Got rock hard reading a repot featuring a topless match between Sonia and Sherry.

Yes I used to keep articles from the News of the World too when it was a broadsheet about women wrestlers like Mitzi Mueller and Sue Britain. Sonia was one of the first ones I checked out but I never got round to wrestling her and Maggie Jennings too was another one I thought about.

Mitzi Mueller is a goddess in my view. I've wrestled Maggie more than once - lovely woman. But my fave is Rusty Blair

Rusty sometimes appeared on Reslo in Ch4 Wales. Yes she was a handful her. Would have loved to have seen her against Mitzi

Caught the occasional match on tv, then reading mags like wrestling eye with the numerous ads....loved the whole pro look spandex and boots, even more so over the years as it became more popular.

The advent of WWE allowed more women to be seen in the ring but I loved the old style Brit ladies that sometimes appeared on Reslo or more so in articles on Sunday papers. Full swimsuits and fishnet tights and boots were what caught my eye.
You ever had a match in a ring against a woman in proper gear?

Had four matches against the glorious Pippa L'Vinn in her Manchester ring. First two sessions were either semi competitive, pro style give and take and even some teaching me to fall. Then I got cocky on the 3rd session and demanded a fullly competitive bout. In 30 mins I was down by 32 submissions lol

A combination of things - catching every once in a while the rare women's match on tv made me seriously interested in the idea of women wrestling. Then, in high school, back when WWE was really popular, we would have matches and had some girls in our group.

Yes I used to try and find Reslo on Ch4 Wales back in the day as they regularly had women vs women matches. It was only when Chyna appeared on WWF as it was back then I saw my first TV mixed bouts.
So did the girls in your group do well against the boys?

Lol, yeah, I'm not familiar.

But anyway, these weren't exactly competitive matches, although sometimes they could get kinda competitive. Some of the guys would never let the girls have a chance to win, but I definitely let girls pin me a few times.

In my early years of marriage on the odd occasion of getting my wife to play wrestle as she wasn't that good or that keen I had to let her win but other females I've fought have beaten me fair and square

I grew up having an older Tomboy sister who after watching World of Sport wanted to have matches with her brothers and sisters but as I seemed to be the only one willing I became her jobber. I never once got one submission out of her in all the years we wrestled right up until my late teens. Later in life the interest was reignited and we had many a cyber wrestle and were planning on another match but sadly that never materialised.
From those early days I've always been turned on by the thought of losing to a woman and I've had a few friendly bouts with women and a few with a session wrestler were I well and truly got my ass handed to me on a plate.
