Convenient Locations to Wrestle

Wrestling typically involves privacy, and for whatever reason, many members cannot host at their homes. So I think it would be a good idea to come up with a list of places, mostly hotels, where one can conveniently wrestle in the New England region. Here's my criteria for a "good wrestling place" :

1. Must meet minimum standards of cleanliness - no bedbugs, clean linen, working shower and toilet, heating unit and A/C unit.

2. Must meet minimum standards of privacy - windows where the curtains can be closed, walls not paper thin, door which can be double locked.

3. Reasonable price for room, unless you can afford to lay down $200 for a suite. I think that's a little much.

4. Room rearrangement. This is the hardest requirement to meet with #3, the room must offer enough space to wrestle. I generally consider a king-sized bed sized-area to be the minimum amount of space to satisfy this requirement. And obviously a little clearance on a few sides is preferable.

In the old days, you could usually remove the box spring and the mattress support rails and lay the mattress on the floor to wrestle. Unfortunately, many hotels now have the support hardware and box spring bolted to the wall and or the floor and not enough room to remove the mattress to wrestle on the floor. This increases chances for injury to the wrestlers or the furniture and it is less than ideal. Given the sorts of things the hotel cleaners tend to find underneath box springs, these days many have arranged the box springs and supports so there are no large empty areas to hide objects.

So, let me start off with the only place I can recommend. There are two Motel 6s in Nashua, and I have been to the southern location twice. I remember the rooms were relatively spacious, the bed frame was able to be dissassembled and there was enough room for the mattress to be put on the floor. The other location Nashua looks like it has similar rooms, but I've never been there. Granted the last time I wrestled at this place was five years ago, so things may have been renovated since then, and renovations are not usually welcome. The most recent photos of the rooms suggest this is not the case. I would not trust any Motel 6 in Massachusetts, their mattresses seem bolted down.
