this is an embarrassing match to me as a wrestler. joey nux continually overacts and makes sure his groans are audible with every breath, whether he's applying or receiving a hold. it's just plain silly.
neither of the full nelsons are convincing. they're obviously not well-executed and merely for show. and the show is pretty pathetic.

the warlord used the full nelson as a submission back in 1991, and put several guys away with it, not all are on youtube, though.
there is a recent youtube video of him doing it again, where he uses it on numerous guys. personally, i would love to do it to the first guy who has the thick beard. of course, wearing a necktie will make him pass out even quicker.

curtis thompson (aka firebreaker chip, white angel), was a beefy bodybuilder, usually a jobber in wcw. but it appears that in puerto rico, as the white angel, he used the full nelson as a submission hold. however, i can find only one video of him doing so, and he pretty much destroyed his opponent rather violently.

this entire match is really enjoyable, but there is a very hot full nelson in the 3rd fall which begins at 17:50. you can see marco making some attempts at a full nelson on ed, but after ed puts one on him, marco doubles his efforts and finally succeeds. the fact that marco is standing while pouring on the pressure while ed is kneeling makes for an even tighter and more devastating hold.
the best part is when the cameraman moves to the side and you can see just how thick ed's upper body truly is, and how far downward his head is being forced against his huge chest.
the worst part is that marco did not put ed unconscious with the hold. damn.
the quality on this video is questionable – it's much sharper but still dark on the VHS tape i have of it.
what are your favorite full nelson videos online? here are three of mine. the video quality of the third one isnt great, but we're lucky it survived all these years.
