oh yeah, that supposed full nelson from "dont make waves" is kind of an embarrassment especially to the editing department. i wonder how many takes they shot. wish we could see all that deleted footage.

alan steel (sergio ciani) was put in a tighter full nelson in "ursus: the rebel gladiator" (1962). i like the way his facial expression changes throughout the quick hold... first wondering what hold he's being put into, then amusement, then a grimace as he feels the pain. steel seemed to enjoy all his fight/wrestling scenes in his movies.
advance to 11:00 for the beginning of the fight scene.
again steve reeves is clamped into a tight full nelson, and again the scene was edited - i'd have liked to see the few seconds before it's applied. the escape is lame, so i assume the director knew little about wrestling.
