Supercharging a sidevalve industrial engine!

Hi everyone ;-)
The title says it all, I plan to adapt a supercharger to an old industrial Continental 427 engine (sidevalve, straight-6, 427 cubic-inches), the goal would also be to adjust the timing diagram and also use an electronic fuel injection system for this old beast! Has anyone already done a similar modification to a sidevalve unit, at least used a supercharger blower in it? I think it would be great fun, also a huge improvement in performance for the old Continental engine, being an industrial unit, it has an heavy flywheel and doesn't have to rev high, no problem with that, the governor can anyway be adjusted in case it is needed. So since this engine hits the redline at about 2500 RPM I think, using a turbocharger won't be that efficient, but a roots supercharger can do the job nicely I think!
