Sooo, just an observation. I can't use a pic of myself in boxing headgear as my main pic, because it covers up my face...But yet, I see a New Member who has a yellow smiling sun over his face. Not sure how this is ok, but actual fight gear isn't.

You can always use a picture of your upper body, shirtless as main pic. If anything is covered, blurred or hidden then it can’t be used as a main picture.
I suspect the pic you’re referring to might have a clean shot of the body?

It can get confusing, but the member you refer to would have been judged as a body pic, if nothing is obscuring his body.
Yours would have been judged as a face pic and as it is obscured, not allowed as a main pic. If your body is shirtless, unobscured, and the main part of the pic it should have been allowed as a body pic... but it is always a bit of a hit and miss process

I can‘t add anything to surrey71 or ruffnhard. 100% correct.

You can always forward your picture to the site support if you think it got classified wrongly from the community peer review. The link is in the picture notification you received.

Please note, the picture rules got adjusted a few times over the past 10 years. We can’t go through all 200.000 picture if this happens.
Maybe the picture and profile you are referring too were uploaded a few years ago. You can see when the picture got uploaded if you click on it.

Don't take this personal and just uplaod a clear front body picture or a clear facepic to use as avatar. We already dropped all other rules we had priviously and simplified the picture system drasticly:
Profile and Picture changes
