For years, I had been sedentary and lazy. Anything remotely challenging would be torturous for me. At my heaviest I was 220 pounds, and that was certainly not muscle weight. Then one day, out of sheer disgust and as a desperate measure, I took two actions:
1. I enrolled in a gym. My first workout goal was to go to the gym for 5 minutes and touch a barbell. Yes, I was that reluctant to exercise.
2. I randomly picked wrestling as a sport that I would practice, and joined a local wrestling club for LGBT folks.
I am not there where I would like to be, but I am much more active and much alive.

Congratulations on taking the steps you have taken. The motivation, the mood, the brain chemistry will change as you continue your workouts. The studies, evidence base studies, have shown that this level of activity improves the function of the brain. There is so much that happens to you when you work out. We have seen children move from depressive states and needing medication through karate therapy where the results have been that the children do not need the meds. Movement, activity and exercise will improve anybody's life. Stay on it b/c you are already seeing the results. Thanks for sharing this will everyone

Movement and hydration are the best therapies. Movement and training with peers or groups is best. I started training after I became widowed, the best remedy, hang in there , that is the super.

Progression is simply one step at a time and the most important thing is that you're taking a step. As long as you keep stepping, you will reach your destination/goal.
