Any update on this? I just saw this and googled Lewisham wrestling club - thought, wow, something really local to me... but it's more for young people.
Someone called Dominic Hands is the contact email: [email protected].
He told me the training is at a university building on High Holborn and they have a guy in his eighties (I said I might make a bunch of young lads feel uncomfortable, being in my early fifties). He said I would fit in fine - main purpose is to get fit.
I'll give it a go in January, whenever they restart after the break. For £3 a session it is a fantastic price (especially if coaching is available), and good central location.
Anyone know anything about the following advert I spotted on Gumtree?
Here at University of Arts student union we are running wrestling and fitness classes every Friday, this is in connection with the Wrestling society and Lewisham wrestling club.
Our main aim is to promote freestyle and greco roman wrestling within universities.
We also do pro wrestling of which we bring in coaches for this.
If the numbers increase we have some big plans to run performances for charity and events to perform at. This is also great for your acting CV and to benefit within your career in acting, also to have great fitness level.
We have various teachers with high backgrounds within wrestling along with students who have the passion for wrestling.
The timings are
Every Friday 4pm-7pm roughly depending on numbers.
Prices: UAL Students-£1 (must present your student ID)
Non-UAL Students-£2
Non-Students-£3

The young guys who are running the classes are struggling to get the numbers. The amateur wrestling is running on fridays with just a few attendees.
If interested in pro then best bet is to email [email protected], state your interest and ask for details.
