There's something called the "Shark Tank" that my coach likes to put us through when training for a fight. There's one boxer and 2 or more "sharks". The boxer stays in the ring and fights every round. The sharks rotate in each round so the boxer must always fight a fresh man. If you want to make this more punishing, have the sharks pull the boxer up even if he can't beat the 10 count and keep going until he's out cold.
Not in training. It's as much a conditioning exercise as it is sparring. They're always about safety first so we rotate out regularly, but if you let it go on that's what would happen.
This starts out as a normal boxing match. Every round or every couple of rounds, one fighter loses the ability to use a punch i.e. jab, straight right, left hook etc. Eventually, all he'll have left is his movement. Only one of the boxers loses punches. The other fighter can throw anything for the entire match.
If the crippled fighter throws something he's not supposed to, you can add a round to the end of the fight for each time he uses an "illegal" punch. For example, he used an illegal punch 3 times and got knocked out in the 6th, he has to go an extra 3 rounds. During these extra rounds, you can take away the rest of his punches, or you can let him have them back. Alternative punishment can be a round of being worked over in the corner for each use of an illegal punch.
This is not exactly boxing but more of a gutpunching session. The rules were simple.
1. Unlimited 3 minute rounds
2. Guys take 5 punches alternately.
3. No blocking.
4. No blows lower than belt line.
5. KO at count 10 if opponent falls to their knees.

That would be hot. Safety first always in training, but I think when you have a group of guys that are willing to go all out it could be pretty hot.
