Immediately after my pulp challenge set i continued with some of my normal pull-up routine, showing wider grip variations for more balanced strength and muscle development.

Beautifully done! Your pecs are the best, by the way.

Thanks for the instruction video.
Yes you are right; this is very good for comprehensive muscle development.
I should use that more often.

i was already beat though. First i did 8 sets (smaller sets) trying ot get the lighting to be adequate. I had so much glare and funny angles.

Then i did your challenge - 18 good ones.

Then i did this. Kinda my normal workout, but not great for looking like its easy!

Back to training - variations on width place strain on different muscle groups, adn different parts of the same muscle - like the huge lats. The very wide ones de-emphasize the biceps and make the angle (leverage) worse - meaning harder. It also gets whatever fivers connect so that they can pull from wide.

What are the "fives-muscles"? Can you give a link? An anatomical graphic, please. Not a YouTube video. (I currently live in my forest house and cannot watch videos in net.)

typos - "fibers" - muscle fibers

Thanks a lot. If I want to train wide pull-ups, I have to use a spreader bar over the rings. OK, I'll look for an accident-free solution.

To the 18: That means you could have made more than 20 in a playful way. All attention! I was able to do this 10 years ago.
Let's see what I can do with training. I have to try it.

for 70 you are a beast! You really should get a handicap - its only fair. Want to compensate for your age with me spotting you 1 rep for every 3 years you are older than me? We'll round to the nearest integer ... serious

Unfortunately I have several handicaps :-(
I got the last one during the dip training about 4 years ago (left rotator cuff). It was my mistake and I have to live with it now. ..
But very often I manage to train around the pain points.

The age 70 is only in my documents (ID, licenses etc.) - I feel me younger
and I also behave equivalent.

just trying to make it a level playing field for all of us.

You are up!

Yes, I understand :)
But in my job or in road traffic or in the high mountains on rope there is no question about age. I have to work there and a mistake is fatal.
I try to keep up in the field of sport (at least appropriately).
