I actually like being dominated by younger guys in strength

Does anyone think age difference is an important part of bigger vs. smaller matches? I'm 26 and 65kg, and the guy I usually wrestle is 17 years older and 50kg heavier.

Of course not. Since I was 16 I was wrestling and I have wrestled men of all ages from 18-85. Just have fun. There are a lot of guys who like to wrestle with big guys and get their asses kicked by them and big guys who like little guys to kick their asses for them.

Don't get me wrong - I'm fine with wrestling anyone of any age! I've just found that when I'm wrestling a bigger guy I've always found that the age difference adds another dimension (like it's big vs. small combined with experienced vs. inexperienced).

I agree.
But when you get to my geriatrical status meeting people even five or six years older becomes somewhat unusual.
Even then some only decide to proceed with this as an interest when they are already middle aged and so have less experience than some younger participants.

It depends on the guy and his skill set. I have had much older guys kick my ass. You have to do what is comfortable for you.
