My favorite pinning combination is the power half to a figure 4 head lock. It almost always leads to a brutal pin of the dude stuck on the bottom. Coach showed me this one and I used it to put away many guys in high school.
Have developed the cross face and leg turk into a very effective pin. Once you start turning with the cross face, you sink your leg between your opponents legs and lock on to the leg on the opposite side from the turning direction. Leverage that leg with the cross face. The pic shows a particularly powerful way to turn the leg, but you can do that without capturing his ankle as shown in the picture. I get a lot of pins this way, and even if the guy does not give it up, he wears himself out by fighting it.

You're going to have to show that one to me down on the mat. Sounds kind of confusing, but it could be a great pinning hold which not only sticks the man's shoulders to the mat but also creates a lot of legal punishment.
