I agree, hind site being 20/20, I think a skinny fist is an effective way to inflict blows than a bigger hand, and his guy was coaching him where to hit, and it was mainly the same spot over and over.I just couldn't believe this little guy was taking me out. Lesson learned.

I guess its was a combination of ego, some money put up between him and I , trash talk by his scrawny boy toy, and my rival, confident on my part that his 120 lb boy was incapable of any punching that could punish anyone, and that he couldn't throw an effective punch. A married couple that hosted the fight in their basement egging me on also,, i guess it was kind of a hustle. And his boy was so wimpy.
My experience with lighter guys is that they can often put all their weight into punch. Sure...he might only weigh 145 lbs, but he can put 140 of them into a punch.
For me, a Craigslist rival I had met with before, now wanting a re match, talked me into a stake, allowing him to grab me from behind if he won, and let his scrawny boy toy, maybe 125 lbs, work my lower belly, bare fisted. He totally won, beat me soundly, going way past my point of submission, and I took a surprisingly painful beating from his boy, restrained, allowing him to put fists where he saw fit, lots of lower belly shots,, some very low, leaving me bruised and very much in pain for several days, sore for two weeks or more. When he stopped the punching, I went to the floor,, took me ten minutes to recover enough to get back on my feet.
Do any of you guys remember the worst gut punching fight you were ever in? how did it turn out?
my worst ever when I agreed to fight two brothers i'm 5'10 235 Mike was 5'11 270 & John was 5'9 190 they worked me over so bad my gut was sore for over 2 weeks
