Recommendations

Being a new boxer on meetfighters, I rely on recommendations from those of you with more experience than me. There are 3 or 4 guys that everyone says you need to box. PHLBoxer is one of those. And he did not disappoint.

We sparred for at least 5 timed rounds, did several exchanges of body punches, then some gut-punching, then some more punch exchanges. A lot of fun to fight with and a real pleasure to meet. I know I am still on the learning curve but I am hoping to meet up with PHLBoxer again in July when I am in Philly.

Dirka is simply great! Very powerful, quick and resilient. Exceeded my expectations:-) had an amazing time, back and forth long wrestling session. Highest recommendations! And I will see him soon

Chaz is as eager a novice as I've ever encountered And boy can he take – and throw – a hard shot to the body! We did 5 spirited 2-minute rounds, breaking a nice sweat. He's got a solid start and will only improve.

Where do i start with this guy? Friendly, jovial, fun and polite. We had 3 rounds of squeeze fest and neither of us want to admit defeat. Altho he is smaller than me but he is full of determination to overpower me. Comfortable to be around with and i hope you had a great time in Singapore!

Peterson11 lux ist ein super starker Gegner. Wir hatten einen Fight über viele Runden der alles in allem sehr ausgeglichen verlief. Er zeichnet sich durch gute Technik und viel Kraft aus. Wenn Mann nicht aufpasst ist man schnell in einem harten Griff gefangen.
Es ist absolut zuverlässig und auch ein super netter Gesprächspartner. Wir treffen uns mit Sicherheit wieder. :-)

Peterson11 lux is a super strong opponent. We had a fight over many rounds, which was very well balanced. He is characterized by good technicall and a lot of power. If you are not careful, you are quickly trapped in a hard hold.
He is absolutely reliable and also a super nice conversation partner. We will definitely meet again. :-)

Tom is a strong puncher! We did some training and gutpunching, and he delivers hard and deep to the belly. He's also a very nice and interesting friend, and I hope to wrestle him next year. He's a real gentleman, and I feel I've known him for many years. He's an up-and-coming boxer, and I recommend him for a great time!

Update 2017: Tom and I got together with BoxerCoachinMD again for sparring and lunch. Not only that, he, I, Spruceman and Spruce's husband went out for dinner. What a great group of friends! Tom continues to be a wonderful man. I suppose this sounds like anything other than a recommendation, but remember that the success of a meetup also depends on the openness of those involved. Tom is playful, strong, and clever.
