I met and wrestled Rene today after so many years too many. Rene is skilled and has good technique. I really enjoyed our wrestle. He taught me a few things and hopefully I can use them next time I wrestle.

Rene is a fun guy but is serious about wrestling. We went for a drink after the wrestle.

It took a few years of banter and then finally we met.
Wrestle46 came to the GC a day earlier for that.
Bit of a mismatch! We got it working anyway.
Sharing some holds and experience, all sweet.
A beer, a good conversation and hopefully we meet again!

It was great to meet my friend and opponent from downunder again and to see that he is as strong and eager to fight as i knew him. He is hard to handle but carefull at the same time and a nice and interesting guy to talk with. Looking forward to your next visit mate!

It has been a few years since our last meet. This fastidious man has not lost any drive or thirst for fighting. Quite rough wrestling with some punches was the go. Fit and tough, not in the mood to give in, he is real spirit of a fighter.
Very careful not to go overboard, as a good sailor does, and respectful and above all good fun.
Blacksocks was there as well putting his mark on the meet. We all gave and received only the best!
We didn't get to the army games.....next time.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to meet this huge "Aussie" at Armybob's fightvenue. He has an impressive appearance, but is very kind in real life. He is extremely powerfull and knows how to "push as a rugbyplayer". Also in the groundfight you need to be very careful. I managed to control him with my legs and some little tricks. Great feeling for me to make this huge bully tap a few times. I hope for another match next week.

Watch out, this friendly easygoing, handsome man is full of top grade surprises!
Not all round but knows enough to give anyone a rough time. I could not figure out what he kept doing right and what I kept missing.... Frustrating and intriguing!

In our 2nd meet, I had figured the smart fellow out and the tide turned to my favour.
I picked up some handy skills from him after all.

Apart from a good fighter, he has great sense of humour and likes his food.

Last week I had a great fight with kommaarop!
A big strong man. A hard hitting boxer and a good wrestler/grappler. Sometimes I could win, it suprised me.
Was fun to have a nice man from Australia at my place!
If he travels again he is welcome!

We wrestled and wrestled rough, very rough with plenty punches for 3 hours.

Kommaarop (Dutch for Bring it on!) is a long tall fighter with impressive strong arms and legs. More important: when he is fighting he is determined to win! And that's exactly what it takes for rough housing. When he managed to get on top of me I didn't stand a chance and had to tap to take a breath. Off the mats he is a nice and friendly bloke. We had decent and sweaty bout and a great time. Recommended when you re looking for rough housing

Tough as a boot, very strong, stamina , fitness and not afraid of anyone. Taking the fight to the max and grinning and enjoying it the whole time. He has a high pain treshold and loves dishing out punishment. If you want to go hard, this the man for you!

A big guy and a very strong wrestler who has very good grips and a lot of experience, I had to tap many times.
Also a very nice guy, and hope to meet him again because he lives in Australia.

How's that! Being challenged by a newbie without wrestling background. No fear and very eager. Our meet was above all fun, sharing some of my experience. We had a great meet of basic wrestling and camaraderie. The happiest newbie wrestler around!

I had a great time taking on kommaarop. He made the great effort to come to Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast. The setup in the hotel wasn’t ideal but we made it work. He used his height and weight advantage to good use. I hoped I could wear him down with various head scissors. They were effective but didn’t wear him down enough. Once he got back on top, I was done for. He’s a very friendly gentleman and a lot of fun on the mats, especially if you like some tough wrestling. I look forward to a rematch!

Well this legend was my introduction to wrestling in Australia! I could not have done better! Getting past the challenge of his height, weight and reach was a problem lol. This is one skilled, tough, fast wrestler. Totally safe as an opponent. A delight to wrestle; not to be missed. He also has a wicked sense of fun and humour. It was a privilege to hit the mats with him. 100% GOLD STAR Recommendation

First met this big man 12 months ago not long after I joined MF & we have become good mates so I was excited to catch up again in a recent stay in Brisbane. He took the trouble to travel 2 hours each way on 2 consecutive days to meet up so his commitment is amazing. This big strong fella has arms & legs like a spider & can use them with great skill. He had little trouble wrapping me up repeatedly.
He is an absolute pleasure to be around, both getting bashed on the mats or sharing a few beers afterwards!
I consider myself so lucky to have him both as a mentor & a friend & so looking forward to our next meet.
Definitely don’t miss this bloke if you’re serious about tough, hard wrestling!!

It was great fun to grapple against kommaarop. There was a massive size difference and he used it to his advantage. When I had the opportunity to be on top, it was nice to see him struggle to escape but these moments were rare. It was a great workout. Even tried boxing again but sad to report I am still hopeless.

Off the mat, he's a great chat. A terrific man and I hope we meet again.

He is a really nice guy. Unfortunately for me he is very far away most of the time. It was a bit one sided match since he's a pretty big guy. But we had fun and that is what's most important.

A big strong beast of a man, yet extremely outgoing and friendly. We made the best of a small wrestling space for a submission match, and he was on top almost the entire time. I did manage to squirm away and get a few submissions, but this is a tough guy who uses his size and strength well. From my perspective it was a thoroughly enjoyable match, and he is someone I heartily recommend and would wrestle again.

Aha! This man has a lot of experience, many opponents and knows what he is doing. Instantly a friendly buddy to feel comfortable with.
We had a good rough session without injuries followed by a few coldies.
Catch this man when you can and be ready for some trouble!
