I find professional boxing pretty boring. Prefer to watch unlicensed and bare knuckle fights on youtube. Unlicensed fights tend to be more brutal. Best unlicensed fights are Roy Shaw and Lenny McLean... little respect for rules with elbows, kicks/stomps, punching a guy after he's collapsed.

Also Ruff N' Rowdy which currently goes around the country. Tough Man is currently stationary to a few cities due to regulatory issues https://www.youtube.com/user/RoughNRowdyBrawl

You are right. But their events are not usually geographically close, and I was told by phone once, when I tried to apply to compete, that I could not do so, because I was over 40.

It seems so hard to put together a boxing match, even using a site like this. I have been watching on YouTube a number of videos from Britain of "semi-pro" or "unlicensed" matches, e.g. IBA or EBA fights. Some of the fighters are skilled, others less so. But at least there are organizations in England with large numbers of fighters under their wings, who offer regularly scheduled boxing programs at established venues. Allowing guys who wanna fight under pro rules the chance to do so. Why is there nothing like this in the US? Or am I missing something?

The 35 and over amateur division is called the Masters. If your looking to genuinely compete. The modern Toughman is a shadow of it's roots now and lopsided, people aren't there to see technical boxing, just knock outs and poorly executed "cage fights" smh
