Update: I received several favorable comments on my latest photo addition to my gallery. Thanks to those of you who commented. I was pleasantly surprised by the responses to a pretty modest picture.
A perfect wrestling day:
I would describe a perfect day as one where I met and actually wrestled someone in person for the first time. For the day to be perfect the outcome would produce a real winner, sore muscles, and a new friend.
I live in Northern Virginia, about 25 miles south of Washington DC. I'm looking forward to meeting new people who share my interest in wrestling. I also recognize that wrestling in inherently erotic at times and that this is part of the appeal.
If you don't live near me get in touch anyway if you like and we can still talk about our shared interests. I especially like to learn about the other person's interest.

Very strong and good wrestler. Nice man who us courteous and polite. Good teacher. Highly recommend.
I had a very fun match with Warner about 3 weeks ago. We wrestled off and on for well over an hour. It was all that anyone who is interested in actually wrestling could have hoped for.
Warner is a little smaller and slimmer than me. Since I weigh in at just under 170# this is relatively unusual. It enabled me to achieve a school boy pin or two along the way where I'm usually on the receiving end of them..
I encourage you to meet him if you get the chance. I'm sure you both will have a good time.
April 2018 Supplemental. Have hosted Just Dan at least a dozen times times; and have seen how his has improved in strength, aggro, and skill. Always enjoy tangling with him. He is more than three times the wrestler he was back in February of 2016, when I first met him. He's far more serious competition for me now (in spite of my gains) and will be for you. One of my best friends; and the coaching is symbiotic – with me giving him tips in submission wrestling, he helping me out in Free style – his forte.** Recommend you take him on; and don't be surprised if you get pinned, makes you tap, or "kicks your butt."
(Feb 2016) Hosted Dan here at the house for the first time. He is a very strong man (not only for his age, but in absolute terms) – keeping himself in really good shape. He knows some rather unbreakable (or requiring brute bust-out strength) holds. We spent a couple hours on the mats doing both submission and exchanging holds. The best thing one can say here about him or anyone else is "I want to wrestle him again and again" – hope and expect that to happen as his schedule permits – especially come spring and there is space in the yard to really go at it with some judo mixed in.
Update from my original February 2016 post: So far nobody has taken me up on my $50.00 wager offer. That just shows me that the selfie generation guys on here are smarter than I thought. ;-)
Here's a tip for you. If you think Spruceman is too old or too frail for you, you are in for a surprise. If you are under 210#, and are not a trained MMA fighter or present or former collegiate wrestler, I have $50.00 that says he will kick your ass, and I don't care how old you are. This guy is a poster child for how to stay fit throughout your lifetime.
When I agreed to wrestle him I thought "i'm practically a decade younger, I'm in pretty good shape, he's old and gray, I'll probably have to go easy on him to keep from hurting him. Wrong, wrong, wrong. He's solid muscle, neck to toe. I had no chance against him. Let me tell you I am not a jobber. I like genuine competitive matches and I fully intended to control the match. It didn't take long to realize that wasn't going to happen.
If you are in the Washington DC area and want a real match look him up but be prepared. If you just want to explore a little or whatever tell him so. He's a gentleman and he will adjust his intensity to match your strength and ability.
If you are a cocky 20 or 30 something and think you are tough, I suggest you don't challenge him. I have $50 dollars that says he sends you home with your tail between your legs. If you want to take me up on the wager get in touch with me and I'll tell you how we will set it up so that it keeps us all honest.
Finally met this good man, and he was a great match. He also taught me a few tricks I will use on my upcoming opponents. This is the kind of meetup I've wanted, with match of strengths and wits, and exchange of ideas. Thanks Dan! I want more with you!
Ctrwash is a visitor from Washington State. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to meet and wrestle him earlier this week. He's an aggressive opponent who made me work to pin him in spite of his relatively nominal level to technical skills at my preferred form of wrestling, freestyle for pins.
He's also a gentleman and a pleasure to get to know. I encourage those of you who get a chance to meet him upon his return to Washington State to do so.
I'd also like to thank Spruceman for hosting the two of us.

Jim hosted our match at his home in Iowa. I'd lost touch with him until recently. He was a gracious host and a gentleman. At 6'4 and over 200# he crushed me. But he did so without inflicting any serious harm and it was a day well spent. Two thumbs up.

Dan drove quite a ways for us to meet up and I'm really grateful for that. He's a really friendly and fun sparring partner and because of his HS wrestling days he was able to give me that collegiate/HS wrestling style experience that I've always been curious about. Despite some past injuries of his that we discussed right up front, after the count of three Dan drove hard into me and put my ass on the mat and had me on my back with my shoulder blades pinned in a matter of seconds! The absolute best thing was that Dan took the time to teach me how to do the same thing! And thanks to Dan, at the end of our session he demonstrated a 'schoolboy pin' too!! I learned so much and can't wait for a rematch.

Meeting Scrimmage was a treat. He made our session enjoyable even though he's a lot bigger, and much stronger. Fortunately for me he had virtually no history of wrestling until he met our mutual friend Spruce recently. I was able to show him a few moves I'd learned while on a high school JV wrestling team a very long time ago. I hope that made it fun for him as well.
If you get a chance to wrestle him, you should. If you want a chance of defeating him you better get to him soon. When he gets a little experience under his belt he's going to be hard to beat for almost anyone.
